The Rhine - A journey from the Source (2004)

A series of paintings - watercolour and colour pigment mixed with place specific Rhine water on paper. The paintings were made in response to walking by the Rhine River from the source in the Swiss Alps to Basel.

El Camino de Santiago de Compostela Frescos (2002)

A series of portable frescos made in response to walking 800km of the Camino Frances in May 2000 from St Jean Pied de Port to Finisterre in Galicia. The Frescos were made using coloured pigment applied in the traditonal buon fresco method onto lime rendered woodwool cement board, making them portable.

A series of paintings in oil on linen made in response to ‘The Phoenix and The Turtle’ a poem by William Shakespeare

Tibet - A plea for Peace (1993)

A series of oil paintings, drawings, monoprints and etchings.

The works were made after time spent in Northern India with the Tibetan community in exile. I listened to their stories and heard of their hopes to return home. Their goodness has stayed with me and inspired me ever since.
